A Late Style of Fire (2015) with guest Michele Poulos

Poulos’ dream inspired her to make her documentary of hard-living poet Larry Levis. Critically acclaimed writer and VCU English faculty, Levis died in 1996,  a victim of talent and self destructive excess. Her film asks, “is self-destruction required for a life in the creative arts?” and traces Levis’ life through marriages, friendships and words. With poets Philip Levine, Charles Wright and others. Producer: Greg Donovan. Score by Iron and Wine. Cash bar available.   92 minutes

Advance tickets available HERE. Advance tickets are WILL CALL ONLY; check in at venue. No ticket will be mailed.
