Hitchcock/Truffaut (2015) Director: Kent Jones

In 1962, French New Waver Francois Truffaut sat down with director Alfred Hitchcock to record a conversation the would last three years and culminate in a ground-breaking book on the master’s mise-en-scene. At Hitchcock’s death, Truffaut remarked that “almost all of the new American cineastes were Hitchcock’s children,” and probably included himself as well.  Introduction and Q&A with Trent Nicholas and Michael Jones, Film Studies instructors in VCUarts Art History.  100 minutes
